| From the Oswestry bye-pass, at the Mile End Roundabout (A5 - Shrewsbury and Chester roads meet here)- Take the A483 signed for Welshpool. |
| At Llynclys turn right (by White Lion pub.) onto the A495 signed for Bala. |
| Look for Nantmawr Quarry brown tourism signs - Turn right opposite Hanson Quarry entrance and before small hump-back under road. |
| At next T-junction turn left. |
| Take the next turn on the right hand side onto Quarry Lane (signed for "Jones's Rough"). |
| The Engine House is approx. 1/4 mile on the right. Look for the wooden gable end. |
